Conley Smith is a marketing executive, entrepreneur and writer with extensive executive management experience in advertising, media, sponsorships and communications. In 2014, Smith was named one of the top media executives in the nation by Advertising Age Magazine. He was also a key member of executive marketing team that launched the famous “Can you hear me now?” advertising campaign for Verizon Wireless.
As Executive Director of Marketing for Verizon from 2007-2013, Smith negotiated and managed sponsorship deals with Disney Parks, NFL, NHL, Dreamworks International, LucasFilms, New York Mets, Los Angeles Lakers, Oakland Raiders, Los Angeles Angels, Anaheim Ducks, Phoenix Suns, LA Kings, Boston Red Sox and the New England Patriots.
In previous experience, Conley served as managing editor of a pioneering weekly entertainment magazine and has managed the editorial content and production of multiple corporate magazines. He is also an accomplished freelance writer whose bylined articles have appeared in the Los Angeles Times, San Francisco Chronicle, Indiana University Journal and numerous other publications.
Smith now owns and manages unique luxury properties in California and New Jersey in addition to taking on selected consulting, writing and editing projects related to his experience in marketing, communications, publishing and real estate.
